    AWE!Some Crochet

GinaRenay is the CEO/Creative Artistic Director and HHIC, which is the "Head Hooker in Charge", of AWE!Some CROCHET. She is an avant-garde knitwear designer/visionary specializing in YOUnique fashion & accessories. She is a fiber artist, Instructor--"Work dat Creative Hook!", interpretative dancer, sign praiser, poetess, storyteller, STITCHologist, fashion & model coordinator, teach and HOOK IN RANDOM MARATHONS: also an assembly-line Stitchtress, lol! Her style has a strong afro centric flair with touches of Victorian & amp; folk art influences. GinaRenay is a down to earth organic crafter wielding Da  ART-RAGEous Hook in fashionlicious FUNK.
She has participated in numerous fashion events, done videos and an indie African movie, Dream Kweens.

    How did you get started?

A self-taught designer since the age of 9, one of her cousins taught her how to keep edges straight.  After that she knew she could create clothing such as skirts and dresses.  If a sewn pattern could produce a garment, she naturally assumed a crocheted ensemble could also be duplicated.  GinaRenay taught her peers, but they were more interested in other things.  I had to keep my creative juices flowing and stimulated throughout the season of obscurity.  Yet there is a time for every purpose under heaven.  Preparation is the key as well as steadfastness.  As long as there is breath within me, I will walk in my calling.  Psst, he loops are calling. This is the birth of my new language and I answer in crochet, STYLELICIOUSLY.

Self and the breath that I breathe, taking walks in the park and looking at art are my motivation.

What I am already achieving, which is walk in my gift and calling.  Since surviving Hurricane Katrina in '05 and losing 90% of everything to the storm, to manifest a life of intention and integrity and make a mark on the crochet fashion world. Is this just a stepping stone towards acting or singing?

I sing with my hands and do sign interpretative lyrical dance.  I enjoy strong, independent people of vision and a natural actress--a ham, they say, lol.

A true talent with a vision for everyone to enjoy now and in the future.

    AMBER!..Enough Said

Lights, Camera, Action, sashay, Shanty are the many words that describe one of Atlanta’s up and coming models.  Amber Strozier had gotten her break when she had entered and won a modeling contest and later captured the eye of the photographer who made her dream a reality.  Amber has always had strong support from family and friends who have always attended many of her shows.  She owes most of her success to photographer’s BBreezy and G14; she states none of this would have happen without their tenacity.  She also says that she’s met some very inspirational people from Vertikal Magazine!!

Amber has gained knowledge from the modeling world, which has inspired her to grow and make herself a better model and have self determination to keep her wanting more. She also has a desire to become an actress and a singer.  She believes that everyone should try something once in life.  When asked who her greatest influences are, her reply was BBreezy, Regina King and Taraji P. Henson.  She stresses that their uniqueness and strong dedication for their craft has captured her attention.  And as far as influences, her mother has always given her the courage to be the best at what she does.

Amber has a role of her own and that is to continue to set good examples for her younger siblings, though she has set aspirations for herself, she finds that she wants to do more.  One of her dream is to become a fashion designer who caters to men and women. She also aspires to become a well-known model and hopes to own a dance studio.  In her spare time, Amber volunteers her services to Falling Angels, an modeling and promotions company.

So as you see, Amber has many dreams that have come true, and is not afraid of the obstacles that may come her way.  Amber Strozier The Next America’s Top Model…
